La Mirada Creek Park

 

This family photo session was about 8 months in the making! When Ms. K initially contacted me we had set a date in June of 2013, unbeknownst to the both of us that the day we had chose was Father’s Day! Ooops! We had to reschedule for a later date. We then tried again in the fall and had to reschedule a second time! We finally met in February for the long awaited family photo shoot!! We met at La Mirada Creek Park in La Mirada, CA  for their family session on Super Bowl Sunday. Yup, when I realized it was Super Bowl Sunday I thought we would have to reschedule a 3rd  time, but fortunately for all of us neither the ‘N’ family or myself are big football fans! We proceeded with the plans to do the session until that morning when we saw that it was cloudy and there was a threat of rain….oh great! Maybe we weren’t going to be meant to do this session Lol. Well after pushing the session time a little we finally met up to take the photos. We were about 45 minutes into the session when it began sprinkling, very soon after it started raining pretty hard!!  I was a bit worried because it usually takes about 20-30  minutes to ‘warm up’, not only for the family being photographed, but for myself too. So we were just getting warmed up when the downpour hit and we had to run to our cars. So after getting a bit wet and getting our session cut short these are some of the photos we got! I was rather pleased considering it ended up being  a ‘mini’ session! They were all such great sports about the weather and definitely a lot of fun to photograph!!
