So the other day I had an impacted wisdom tooth that was on a nerve removed–just one! Thank goodness!! I was put under general anesthesia and did not react well from it at all! I mean, we’re talking horrible nausea, vomiting, and a lot of pain. I couldn’t take anything for the pain because of the nausea, it was so bad that I preferred to suck up the pain and not run the risk of medications making me feel nauseous! I was totally out of commission for about 3 days. I was like “really? For one stinkin’ tooth?” Sigh…. Well during those days I was cooped up and so were my kids who were looked after by my awesome mom who was visiting from Missouri and prolonged her stay a little to be with me for the ‘post wisdome tooth surgery’.
By the 4th day I began starting to feel somewhat normal again! I was finally able to sleep through the night and woke up with still some swelling (I looked like I was smuggling something in my left cheek, Lol) and still some soreness, but I was able to get up and function! I decided it was too much of a beautiful spring day to not be outdoors with the kids. But what to do…I could go do some shopping, run some errands…or…take pictures!!! Well of course take pictures!!!! I got my kids dressed and decided to go scope out some areas near my home that I had recently learned about. Who would’ve thought…right in my own backyard….well not really, but just a few miles away! I took my camera just in case it ended up being pretty cool and as long as my 3 year old was up for it. She totally was!
She saw me getting my camera equipment and asked me if I was going to take pictures. I asked her if she wanted me to take photos of her and she said “yes!” Ahhh just what I loooove to hear! So we drove out to the location and while my 1.5 year old little man was totally disinterested, my daughter let me go camera crazy on her. We were only there for about 30 minutes in the high noon with not too much shade, so not my ideal lighting, but it worked. These are some of my favorite spontaneous shots I got. 🙂 Definitely a good idea to get out, explore and take some fun impromptu outdoor spring photos!
