Scripps College Maternity Shoot

We’ve got some serious reason to celebrate! Maribel and David are officially having a little princess, due in only 10 short weeks. If that isn’t reason to do a happy dance, I don’t know what is! Especially since this is their final baby (unless God has different plans) and their precious rainbow after some losses, this just makes this baby even more eeeeextra special!!

I had the joy of photographing my dear and beautiful friend whom I like to call ‘my sista’ from another mista’ at Scripps College in Claremont when she was 29 weeks pregnant. She was just as beautiful and exquisite as can be. Even though Maribel expressed she was a somewhat self-conscious just taking pictures in general and finding it hard to relax being the center of attention in front the lense– she genuinely looked radiant and glowing. Doesn’t she make pregnancy look beautiful—and easy? Dad agrees she’s a beauty, too – naturally! And doesn’t waste a single opportunity to pamper and love on his beautiful wife.

“Dad is very hands on at home and with the kids, but one thing that stands out the most is the fact that he makes sure I take the time to lie down and prop my feet up at the end of each day to rest my legs and massages my achy lower back without me asking.” Says Maribel. Aww that is so sweet!

Speaking of kids, Maribel’s two kiddos came along for the photo shoot and were just amazing to work with. Both are super excited for their baby sister’s arrival and are truly a delight.

As you can see from the pictures below, Maribel was the perfect soon-to-be mom for the third time. Any photographer would be lucky to photograph her. And that baby bump couldn’t get any cuter. I truly had such an amazing time with them during their session and simply cannot wait to meet baby Everly when she arrives in March.
