I had the enormous joy of documenting this Shelter Gardens maternity Session in Columbia Mo! The momma-to-be for the second time is a dear friend of mine, so of course it was a huge excitement and joy when we started discussing documenting her pregnancy. When we initially met, she had told me that they believed they were going to be a ‘one and done’ family, but God of course, had other plans!

The most exciting part of it all was that our babies were born not too far from each other and we both had girls! So imagine the excitement to have our girls grow up together.

We planned for their Shelter Gardens maternity session in Columbia, Mo on a very warm and humid summer day. It wasn’t the most comfortable for my sweet pregnant friend, but she was such a trooper, and just so beautiful! After beginning the session at Shelter Gardens, we headed to Les Bourgeois in Rocheport to snap some quick sunset photos. Lastly, we ended with some studio portraits in my home studio!

It was truly such a joy and honor to get to document this special and exciting time for this sweet family. I look forward to documenting more family memories for them in the future!
