This summer high school senior photo session in Columbia Missouri was a dream! I met with Katie and her mom on a warm summer evening to capture this big milestone in Katie’s life as she gets ready to embark on her last year in high school.

The afternoon was so beautiful for an August day as we walked around Forum Nature Area. The air felt warm, but definitely not hot. The fields were covered in tall grass that sway gently in the warm breeze and the wildflowers painted the landscape with beautiful colors. A clear blue sky with the sun peeking its golden hues through the rustling of the leaves made it absolutely perfect to stroll the trail and chat about how her summer was going, and an upcoming family trip as well as her last year in high school. Katie shared her plans to attend college out of state and how excited she is about living on campus, but still being within a few hours from home to be able to visit more often.

Katie, there are so many exciting things to look forward to, but for now wishing you an incredible senior year filled with growth, memories and success. Embrace every moment, cherish friendships, and enjoy the journey ahead. May you find joy in accomplishments, strength in challenges, and excitement for the future. Keep pushing towards your dreams, and remember, this is your time to shine! Here’s to making your last year of high school your best one yet!
