From an Online Connection to Life Together

Lisa and Spencer met through an online dating app and met in person at the end of May 2025. When asked about their favorite things to do together, their answer was simple: anything that gives them time with each other.

Sometimes that means a movie night at home. Other times, it’s a golf outing or a sporting event—with a little friendly rivalry when Spencer’s St. Louis Cardinals face Lisa’s Chicago Cubs. They also enjoy long car rides listening to Christian music, making even the drive part of their time together.

A Thanksgiving Proposal in Michigan

During a Thanksgiving visit to Lisa’s parents in Michigan, they took Spencer to see the beach. What Lisa didn’t know was that he had a proposal planned.

With her parents there, Spencer asked her to marry him. The beach visit became part of their story as they began looking ahead to marriage.

A Friendship at the Heart of Their Relationship

Lisa describes Spencer as fun, outgoing, and lovable. What she especially appreciates is how present he is and how deeply he cares for others.

Spencer describes Lisa as kind, smart, funny, and wholehearted in the way she loves. He speaks about the joy her smile brings him and calls her his best friend.

Looking ahead, they hope to get married, build their dream home, and, God willing, welcome children. Their answers reflect how much they value sharing both everyday moments and the bigger milestones.
