It was a beautiful chilly October day for this beautiful fall wedding in Ashland, Missouri. When I arrived at Great Reflections Salon before 7am, I greeted Alyssa and knowing that there was a potential rain storm coming in, I felt a little nervous about how she’d be doing. Her wedding was going to be outside on her parent’s property. After months of planning and her father working on a beautiful alter that he had made for them, it was a little nerve wracking to think that the rain could possibly change the course of the day. Alyssa was unbelievably calm and collect. She told me she had not looked at the weather in weeks because she did not want to stress over something that she could not control.
That pretty much set the tone for the day. It was calm, beautiful, every detail was perfect. The day was quite chilly, but the rain stayed away and they were able to get married outside as planned. There were so many beautiful and touching moments, from the first look with her dad that literally had me in tears behind the lens, to the beautiful prayer Matt and Alyssa had together in lieu of a first look, to the reaction when he finally saw her for the first time walking down the aisle.
We were even able to get some fun outdoor portraits after the rain finally came. They truly made the most of every aspect of their wedding day! It was truly a beautiful celebration and I’m so honored that they chose me to document it.
Below are some of my favorites from their day!
