Hannah & Seth, Kansas City Missouri Wedding

Let me tell you all about this lovely Kansas City Mo wedding at the Yellow Rock Barn in Kansas City Missouri. When I met Hannah and Seth, they were one of three couples that were assigned to my husband and I’s table in a per-marital class. We were asked to be marriage mentors for a pre-marital class at our church and we gladly took on the responsibility as we are big believers and strong cheerleaders of healthy marriages starting out on the right foot! Towards the end of the 8 week class, Hannah and Seth found out that I was a wedding photographer and soon after we began chatting about possibly photographing their wedding. I cannot begin to describe my excitement as we had gotten to know Hannah and Seth over the course of a couple of months and had had awesome conversations on all sorts of marital topics, to think of getting to document their big day was super exciting!

Hannah with so much excitement explained that they’d be having a simple December wedding at ht tps://www.theyellowrockbarn.com/ in Kansas City, MO and that it would be small and intimate wedding with their closest family and friends. She explained that they weren’t going to have a big reception with dancing, and that the most important thing for them was to be married and they were just so excited to celebrate that with their family and closest friends.

Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful! It was a very chilly day, but it didn’t stop us from having an amazing time documenting their love. The most exciting thing for them was doing a first look and getting to document them during that much anticipated moment was the highlight of photographing their wedding day. Though their wedding wasn’t a traditionally long wedding day with a reception and the party and dancing that comes with it, we were truly able to focus on what was important to them and documenting their joy and love for each other.
