This Cooper’s Ridge wedding in Boonville, Missouri was the perfect micro wedding in the midst of a global pandemic. in To say that 2020 has been crazy and so unpredictable is truly an understatement. I received a message from Makayla inquiring about photography services for her wedding that she was planning in two weeks! Makayla and Kayleb were to be married in December 2020, but due to COVID and other unexpected turn of events, they moved their wedding up to the beginning of May. They had all but a few weeks to plan for it…in the middle of a pandemic. They didn’t even know how they would get their wedding bands as everything was shut down. Florists, caters, bakers, everyone was closed. Thank goodness for our local supermarket that came through with beautiful flowers, cake and catering! They were able to get the manager at their local jewelry store to get Kayleb’s wedding band!
Nonetheless, despite the craziness of the circumstances, their wedding at the beautiful Cooper’s Ridge in Boonville, Missouri was simple, yet beautiful as they shared their day with a very intimate number of people, their closest family members and marriage mentors.
It was a lovely ceremony under a gorgeous blue sky with puffy white clouds. It truly made for the most stunning scenic view. They celebrated their love for each other with the people who mean the most to them, including three amazing little boys whom they are adopting. I was honored to be a part of their day and to capture the intimate moments as they exchanged their vows as their closest family and friends witnessed their commitment to each other.
Below are some of my favorites from their wedding day.
